 By Aryan Prem Rana, VRIGHTPATH

Bharat Varsh is hosting the world’s largest religious gathering, where over 570 million devotees have participated in the sacred bathing rituals at the Triveni Sangam and other ghats. It is the world's largest spiritual congregation, bringing together seekers, saints, and common people to purify themselves through rituals, discussions, and spiritual experiences. हिंदी में पढ़िए

On the other hand, it is deeply unfortunate that the recent controversy involving comedian Samay Raina and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, has escalated into a nationwide legal battle. The matter has reached the Supreme Court of India and even drawn attention in Parliament. The controversy stems from remarks made by Allahbadia during an episode of Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent, which have led to multiple legal cases being filed against him across the country.

Earlier this week, Allahbadia appeared before the Supreme Court seeking the consolidation of the multiple FIRs filed against him. While granting him interim bail, the Court reprimanded him for his comments, signaling the gravity of the matter.

Legal Proceedings Against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Others

The FIR That Started It All

The controversy erupted after a clip featuring Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks went viral on social media. On February 10, an FIR was filed in Guwahati, Assam, against Allahbadia, Raina, and others, including content creators Apoorva Makhija, YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani, and comedian Jaspreet Singh. The charges include “promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussions,” as confirmed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Legal Sections Invoked

The Guwahati Crime Branch registered a case under various sections, including:

o Sections 79, 95, 294, and 296 of BNS 2023

o Section 67 of the IT Act, 2000

o Sections 4 and 7 of the Cinematograph Act, 1952

o Sections 4 and 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986

Multiple Cases Filed Across India

Apart from Assam, the show’s organizers and participants face legal action in Mumbai under relevant sections of the IT Act. The Mumbai Cyber Cell has reportedly filed cases against 30-40 individuals, including guests from previous episodes. Jaipur police have also lodged a case.

Supreme Court’s Intervention

The Supreme Court, while granting interim bail to Ranveer Allahbadia, expressed strong disapproval of his remarks. The Court halted the filing of any new FIRs against him but directed him to submit his passport and refrain from leaving the country without prior approval. Additionally, he has been ordered to temporarily stop posting content.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell’s Summons to Samay Raina

On February 17, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell denied Raina’s request to record his statement virtually, as he is currently in the United States. He was asked to appear physically the next day but failed to do so. Authorities have stated that fresh summons will be issued against him.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Upcoming Appearance:

Despite the ongoing investigation, Ranveer Allahbadia is scheduled to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on February 24, as per news agency ANI.

Summoning of Other Public Figures:

The controversy has widened, dragging more individuals into legal scrutiny. Actor Rakhi Sawant has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to record her statement on February 27 as she had appeared in multiple episodes of India’s Got Latent.

National Commission for Women’s (NCW) Action:

The NCW issued fresh summons to Allahbadia, Raina, and others after they failed to appear for a prior hearing on February 17. As per ANI reports:

o March 6: Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchalani, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra must appear.

o March 11: Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Balraj Ghai have been summoned.

Apologies and Public Reactions:

Ranveer Allahbadia has publicly apologized twice, admitting his lack of judgment in making the controversial remarks. However, he also revealed that he has been receiving death threats and that unknown individuals have visited his mother’s clinic, pretending to be patients.

Content Removal and Future Compliance:

In response to the controversy, Samay Raina has deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube. He has also assured full cooperation with investigative agencies.

The Farah Khan Holi Controversy

A new controversy has erupted involving director and writer Farah Khan, who has faced backlash over her remarks about the Hindu festival Holi. A police complaint has been filed against her for calling Holi a “festival of chhapris” during an episode of her culinary show Celebrity MasterChef 2025.

Legal and Public Reactions

The term used by Farah Khan in the context of Holi celebrations has been widely condemned as derogatory and offensive. Critics argue that such remarks, made under the guise of freedom of expression, hurt religious sentiments and misuse the rights granted under Article 19 of the Indian Constitution.

Legal experts and social commentators have emphasized that celebrities and leaders must exercise caution in their public statements. The growing sentiment in Modern Bharat is that such offenses will not be taken lightly and individuals responsible will be held accountable by the law.

The case against Khan adds to the ongoing debate over the boundaries of free speech, particularly when it comes to religious and cultural sensitivities.

No One Should Be Spared for Inappropriate Language, Behavior, and Public Conduct

It is deeply concerning to see Ranveer Allahbadia, who has meticulously built an image as a popular spiritual influencer, align himself with such a program and engage in inappropriate speech. Spiritual figures are revered by millions as role models of good conduct, moral integrity, and upholders of Sanatana Dharma principles.

Ranveer Allahbadia At a BAAR!

These controversies highlight a crucial debate on public behavior, responsible speech, and the limits of free expression. While creative content often thrives on challenging norms, it must do so within the legal and ethical boundaries of society. The ongoing legal proceedings will set a significant precedent for how such cases are addressed in India.

As the case progresses, it will be crucial to see how the legal system balances free speech, accountability, and the preservation of public decency. Regardless of their influence, no one should be above the consequences of inappropriate language, behavior, or public conduct.

The Srishti Samvat: Oldest and Divine Calendar Based on Creation

B y Aryan Rana, Founder    VRIGHTPATH  Modern science emerged only a few centuries ago, while ancient Indian knowledge about the universe, time, and creation has been passed down through millennia. This raises an intriguing question: how do the profound insights found in ancient Indian texts and calendars, particularly the Srishti Samvat, align with or even challenge the discoveries of modern science?  The Srishti Samvat, a divine calendar based on the cosmic cycles of creation, presents a unique perspective on time that transcends the linear approach of modern scientific thinking, offering a more holistic, cyclical understanding of the universe and our place within it. Origins and History The Srishti Samvat stands as a unique and sacred calendar, deeply rooted in the ancient Vedic teachings of India. The term "Srishti" refers to creation, and Samvat refers to a system of years. Together, they form the “ divine calendar of creation ,” a framework believed to be div...

Shraddha Paksha: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Science

By Ayesha Aryan Rana , Co-Founder, VRIGHT Path Why a Millennia-Old Ritual Still Matters Today Every year, as Shraddha Paksha (Pitru Paksha) approaches, debates resurface. Many intellectuals, scientists, and modern skeptics dismiss it as blind faith—“just another ritual created by Brahmins.” Some even call it outdated in a world driven by science, data, and rationalism. But if you’ve ever wondered whether there’s more to this ritual than feeding crows, making rice-ball offerings ( pinda-dana ), or chanting mantras for departed souls—pause. Because the truth is, Shraddha Paksha is not superstition. It is science, psychology, ecology, and spirituality—woven together in ways our ancestors intuited long before laboratories validated the same principles. India tests first Test defeat after 15 matches..

While India crashed to a humiliating innings and six runs defeat against South Africa in the first Test in Nagpur on Tuesday, Sachin Tendulkar's managed to score a (100) defiant ton. Tendulkar's 46th century, his fourth against the South Africans and first at home against the Proteas, was the lone significant knock in the entire Indian innings. Tendulkar was lucky to see his glide off Parnell grassed by Jacques Kallis in the slip cordon, when he was on 45. Tendulkar subsequently was watchful but at the same time walloped the bad deliveries. He and Dhoni rekindled India's hopes with a steady 70-run partnership and the sparse crowd at the VCA Stadium roared in appreciation after Tendulkar reached his 46th Test century. Following on, India resumed on 66 for two this morning, but folded for 319 in their second essay to allow South Africa to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. It was South Africa's fifth Test win in India in 11 attempts. More importantly, it was India...

Respect Sanatan Culture: 10 Things Every Sanatani Must Know

By   VRight Path ॐ गं गणपतये नमः In today’s fast-paced and globalized world, it's easy to unknowingly adopt words, habits, and concepts that may contradict the values of our timeless Sanatan Dharma. It’s important for every follower of this ancient tradition to understand and preserve the depth and dignity of our culture. Here are some essential points that every Sanatani should know and remember: 1. Say “Bhagwan Ram” or “Bhagwan Krishna” – Not “Lord” Ask yourself: Were Bhagwan Ram or Bhagwan Krishna ever members of England’s “House of Lords”? Then why use the title “Lord”? The English term does not carry the same spiritual reverence as the word “Bhagwan,” which signifies divinity and supreme consciousness in Sanatan Dharma. Let’s use our own respectful expressions:  Bhagwan Shri Ram ,  Bhagwan Shri  Krishna . 2. Avoid Saying “RIP” The phrase  Rest In Peace (RIP)  originates from burial customs and assumes the soul rests at one place. ...

When Numbers Aren’t Enough: The Cosmic Caution Behind the Ahmedabad Plane Tragedy

By    VRIGHTPATH – An Eternal Knowledge Platform to Bridge Your Karma Gaps On June 12, 2025, tragedy struck as Air India Flight AI-171 , a Boeing 787-8 en route from Ahmedabad to London, crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in the loss of 270 plus lives, including those living at the fatal accident site.  Read in Hindi The event left the nation shocked, not only because of the magnitude of loss but also due to the mysterious alignments surrounding the incident — both numerological and astrological. Among those who met with this illfate was former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani , who had twice cancelled his flight ticket , reportedly influenced by personal beliefs in his “lucky number 1206.” Ironically, this same number appeared in the license plate of a two-wheeler involved in the crash zone — an uncanny reminder that numbers alone aren’t always enough when facing decisions tied to fate. The Numerology Behind AI-171 From a numerologist’s lens, the numbers...

38 years old Muttiah Muralitharan became the first bowler to take 800 wickets in Test cricket when he dismissed Pragyan Ojha caught in the slip by Mahela Jayawardene on July 22, 2010 in the Test match against India at Galle . Dhoni, Laxman tons light up Eden

VVS Laxman and Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit centuries in a record partnership before India declared their first innings on 643 for six, on Day 3 of the second and final Test against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday. In their second innings, South Africa faced just five deliveries, scoring six for no loss, before play was called off early due to bad light. In their first essay, they were dismissed for 296. Harbhajan leads India to innings victory at Eden

India thwarted stubborn resistance from South Africa 's Hashim Amla and the tailenders to clinch a series-leveling innings and 57 runs victory in the second Test at Kolkata. Playing a role of match winner, Harbhajan Singh (five wickets for 59 runs) and Amit Mishra (three for 78) claimed eight wickets as India beat South Africa by an innings and 57 runs on a thrilling final day in the second Test to level the two-match series 1-1 and remain the number one Test team in the world. South Africa was bowled out for 290 despite a fighting 123 not out by Hashim Amla. The home team was in serious danger of losing the top spot after SA won the Nagpur Test last week and then bad weather on Wednesday allowed only 31 overs of play. The victory ensured M S Dhoni's men retain the ICC Championships mace, which they won after beating Sri Lanka 2-0 in the home series in December last year.
